Interpretative particularities of the Moldavian repertoire for clarinet by Eugen Verbetsky (based on the V. Rotaru's compositions)

In this article author analysis the interpretation of two miniatures for the clarinet and piano composed by V. Rotaru. The study is based on audio recordings of unique value, founded at the „Teleradio-Moldova” funds. Ballad for the clarinet and chamber orchestra has been performed by E. Verbetsky (clarinet) and Chamber Orchestra „Teleradio-Moldova” in 1976. Romance for clarinet and piano has been included at the documentary “Eugen Verbetsky” produced in 1976 by „Moldova-Film” company.

In this article, the author has realized an interpretative analysis of  Sonata for the clarinet and piano written by Francis Poulenc, one of the most famous 20th-century French composers, author of many sonatas created for different instruments. The sound material of this study is an audio record made by the National Public Broadcasting Company “Teleradio Moldova” on the 26th of November 1971, the performers being Eugen Verbetsky, clarinet, and Victor Levinzon, piano, both talented professors at the Moldavian State Conservatory and recognized chamber musicians.
